The Ceremony

Location: Odd Fellow's Hall, Eastsound, Orcas Island

Start Time: 6:30 PM

Seating: Due to space limitations, we will not have chairs for everyone during the ceremony. There will be several sections of standing space for those who are willing to remain standing during the short ceremony.

Parking: Odd Fellow's Hall has only limited on-street parking, but it's very close to town, so we're asking people to park in town and walk down to the hall. The road space outside of the hall can be used for parking for those that need a shorter walk.

About the Ceremony:
The ceremony will be taking place at Odd Fellows hall, a beautiful location looking out over Eastsound Bay and Indian Island. (For directions follow the link in the sidebar under "Details, Details.")

As someone who has witnessed our relationship from its auspicious beginnings (Alyssa pursuing and dating her employee) to its recent culmination (Jeff's X-Mas proposal), our steadfast friend Bill Malatinsky will be performing the ceremony after being internet ordained at the Universal Life Church, providing we can prove that this is actually legal. We remain optimistic.

Immediately following the ceremony, we will proceed inside the hall for the first toast of the night, family introductions, and a welcome to the party from Matt Knickerbocker, the bride's father. Scroll down for more info on the reception...

The Reception

Location: Odd Fellow's Hall (so easy! Ceremony & reception at the same place!)

Start time: Around 7:00 PM

What's the deal: A cupcake & hors d'oeuvre reception with drinking and dancing!

More details:
There will be a variety of tapas dishes (appetizers, finger-foods, etc) for people to choose from. Drink offerings will include wine, beer, champagne, mojitos, lemonade, and flavored sodas.

After merry toasting from the bridal party and a first dance from the newly married couple (if the bride's sprained ankle has healed) the general dancing will begin! If weather allows, we hope to have a fire outside in the fire pit overlooking the sound.
